Welcome

We are an autonomous local chapter of the American Meteorological Society made up of professional meteorologists, students, and other interested individuals in the region.

Chapter meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of the month from September through April in Jordan Hall on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

The Central North Carolina Chapter is proud to have been award the Honor Roll distinction by the National AMS for the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 years.

There's no longer a large parking lot next to Jordan Hall, but there are parking spaces behind Jordan and Biltmore (the bldg. just to the west) Halls, as well as along Faucette Dr.
