Students from the 2002 Instrumentation Meteorology course get hands-on experience by installing AgNet instuments at the Cherry Agricultural Research Station near Goldsboro.

The SCO hosts groups such as the Imhotep Academy.

Students from NCSU Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences work on projects for their class using SCO information and facilities.

Each summer, the SCO hosts several high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
