Recommendations

Be aware that damage and personal injury from severe thunderstorms and hail events will occur from late spring through summer. Many people living and traveling to western North Carolina need to be prepared for severe weather from May to July. Be cautious driving in the late afternoon as thunderstorm or hail events may become severe. Farmers need crop insurance because hail events will destroy their crops. Follow severe weather warnings to protect your self and property.
