North Carolina's ability to withstand a drought is
dependant upon the source from which it obtains water. Cutting off or depleting
the source of water would force a community to consider another solution,
bringing up various issues such as the cost and time it would take to establish
another connection. In turn, lack of water would lead to more water restrictions and higher payments for citizens
living in the area.
